Wiltshire Council - Information |
It was suggested at the 2010 Annual Parish Assembly, that we should provide links to
Wiltshire Council's website - specifically to those areas of the council's website where local residents may
feed their views directly into the site, hopefully for someone significant in the council to read.
All this came about following the heated discussion which took place concerning the council's refusal of the
request for funds for a Speed Indication Device. These devices are placed at one or more key entrance points
on roads into a village, and flash the speed of approaching vehicles, usually when they are close to, or
exceed the local speed limit. They usually cost well under £3,000 (nearer to £2,600), and several other
neighbouring parish council's are pursuing the provision of these devices.
A resolution was passed at Annual Assembly asking that the parish council in Atworth pursue this issue with vigour.
