On behalf of Atworth Parish Council, welcome to the Parish Council's Entry on the Atworth Village Website.
These pages will include notice of forthcoming meetings; record of previous
meetings, any current issues and give details of how you can contact the Parish
Councillors and the Parish Clerk.
Our meetings are held every other month, usually on the third Wednesday; in the
Village Hall and start at 7:00pm. Members of the public are welcome to attend.
There is a period set aside at each meeting to raise any issues. It is advisable
to let the Clerk know what it is a couple of days in advance otherwise it is
unlikely that you will get a response at the meeting.
The Parish Assembly is held in March each year, again usually on the third
Wednesday. This is a specific opportunity to inform villagers of the work
carried out by the Parish Council in the previous year.
Agendas for all Parish Council Meetings, including any sub-committees, are
placed on the Notice Boards in the village for all to see. You should also be
able to find them here.
There are, of course, some restrictions on what can be provided but, so far as
it is possible, the aim is to keep you informed. Specifically, if you have any
questions you can either write or phone me, or the Chairman. Other Councillors
can be contacted, their addresses are listed on another page, and details of
their responsibilities are also on another page. Depending on the nature of the
enquiry it may not be possible to reply via the internet. In such a case a
written reply will be given.
